Armanda Passos

Armanda Passos was born in Peso da Régua in 1944. With a degree in Fine Arts from ESBAP, she is, since 1976, one of the most important contemporary plastic artists, having represented Portugal in various international exhibitions. In addition to the many awards received in Portugal and abroad, her work, represented in the Calouste Gulbenkian, Oriente and Serralves Foundations and in the museums of Sé de Braga, Arte Sacra do Porto and Amadeo de Souza Cardoso, among others, she has received numerous homages and retrospectives. José Saramago, Mário Cláudio, David Mourão Ferreira, Vasco Graça Moura, Lidia Jorge and José Augusto França are some of the intellectuals who have studied the complexity of the artist's work.
