Luís Baena is one of the premier chefs and culinary entrepreneurs in Southern Europe, a world innovator of 21st century culinary arts.
He is an honoree of the Portuguese Academy of Gastronomy, the author and co-author of 16 cookbooks and an in-demand television and media personality.
In a 39-year career that has led him throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia, Luís has collaborated with some of the greatest chefs in the world, including Paul Bocuse and Joel Robuchon.
A culinary “renaissance man”, he is consultant for hotel groups, food distributors, independent restaurants, gourmet boutiques and caterings.
He has been Executive Chef to 5 star hotel chains (Hilton, Westin, Méridien and Marriott), has created gourmet products (Penhas Douradas Food), lectures widely on culinary topics, and has served on international juries of culinary competitions alongside some of the most celebrated chefs in the world.
His last ventures were the renowned Manifesto restaurant in Lisbon and Notting Hill Kitchen in London.
