EVELYN TANNUS

EVELYN TANNUS

Evelyn Tannus (Uberlândia, Brazil, 1965) has lived in São Paulo since 1987. There, she studied Plastic Arts at FAAP - Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado, where she became a student of the artist Nelson Leirner, one of the most expressive representatives of the vanguardist spirit worldwide. Her urban and contemporary style has a striking visual identity, where depictions inspired by tattoo culture are transformed into feminine, religious, ethnic and mythological motifs. Seemingly disconnected images that converge to the unique world of her experiences, memories and imagination.
Her work has been exhibited at exhibitions, product fairs and several other events in Brazil, the United States and Europe, receiving numerous awards and featured in art and design publications.
