ODEITH

Odeith was born in 1976, in Damaia. He hold a spray can for the first time in the mid-1980s, but it was during the following decade, when graffiti began to spread in Portugal, that he first made contact with the movement which had then begun. His first experiments were carried out on the street and on railway lines, and in this way, the passion he had always showed for drawing found a new meaning. From an early age, he showed a special interest in perspective and shadow, in an obscure style that came to be called “gloomy 3D”, where the compositions stood out because of their realistic features and technique. In 2005 he was recognized internationally for his innovative forays into the so-called "anamorphic art", distinguished by his compositions created in perspective painted on different surfaces, such as 90° corners or from the wall to the floor, creating an optical illusion.
