VIOLANT
Violant started from the shapes suggested by the pitcher. Being an object connected to water, the mouth reminded him of a shell, which he imagined to be sea ceramics. From there, he wove in an organic structure, which makes the pitcher a periscope with evening colours, which contrast with the whiteness of the raw material. Inside is the ocean, linked to our history, and from it emerge sharks, elements recurrent in Violant's work, spiralling through the structure of the pitcher to the shell that crowns it.
